Promising then downhill

Pros

Free food during busy season; Some tolerable people

Cons

They require a set amount of hours (which go above the 40 hr work week). While this is okay during tax season, the guilt trip given when you put your family first is sickening. There’s something to be said for their overworked bookkeepers, who they seem to run off with in six months of hiring. Gossip seems to be the favorite past time of some, and two faced conversations is not unheard of.

Overworked and Underpaid

Pros

Free snacks and drinks. Nice janitors.

Cons

They just want to get the paperwork done and do not look over the quality of the paperwork. They will tell your false promises to get your hopes up about a promotion but only to ignore your emails/calls to avoid talking about it. If you're an intern, they will work you to death without overtime.
