Terrible work environment bullying rampant

Cronyism. Nepotism. Anti-Union practices. Bullying. Toxic work culture. Overwork. Mandatory Overtime. Unfilled posts. Archaic equipment and practices. Poor promotional prospects. Terrible management. Shortsighted polices.

Bullying is rampant among all grades. I would say it’s almost accepted as a standard. HSE is light years behind other public bodies in terms of blended working (it doesn’t even have a policy on this) and flexible working arrangements. A lot of managers with zero line management experience or management courses leading to very poor managers. Morale very low among staff. Avoid.

Toxic management, badly organised- bullying etc - especially cherry orchard estates

Bullying common place, some areas great to work, others not

People who work there long term are very institutionalised, a lot of work place bullying, not much support from management.

Hard to progress. Have to go on a lot of panels for career progression. Rubbish IT systems. Old fashioned. Bullying is rife at all levels. Cronyism. Very slow to adopt/adapt new ideas. Hard to get things done. Working in buildings that are unfit for purpose. Wasteful of resources: personal and financial.

I would not recommend HSE. I have witnessed bullying and harrasment in the workplace. Intimidation of clerical staff. No proper training. Very high turnover in both offices which were two different offices not related to each other. You are treated as just a number. Very dissapointing experience.
