They tell you that you will make a six figure income.
Cons
Poor Management. Contracts were not paid at all or on time. Run from this company! I have driven thousands of miles only to have HWT keep all of the money. No rights in their sales agreement. They have you work for free and then wrongful terminate you!

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I will say we always pay commissions on time in full. There is no better way to lose sales people and develop a bad reputation than by not paying your them promptly. This is a demanding business and like all businesses not everyone will be successful. The good news is we have a great record for developing those with the desire and perseverance to follow our system and generate a great income.
Great product liked helping small practices. Don was very knowledgeable.
Cons
Not enough training on the billing process to make sure the demos you did were successful. Most clients wanted to wait until the EOBs to come back. I didn’t feel morally right doing some of the things I was asked to do. My way of selling is with facts not with saying things that sounds good. They make you think it’s easy but it’s not it takes work and time. Pay wasn’t as good they made it seem.

I'm not sure when you left the company, but we do have very intensive billing training we now offer our clients.
We are very honest up front that your income is reliant on your production. It is very easy to blame others on lack of personal production and the resultant low income. The good news is compensation can be great with our company. The bad news is if you don't produce, it will be "not as good as we make it seem".
We are one of the few companies that give inexperienced sale people a chance to break into medical sales. We deal with a very sophisticated client and it is not easy. Consequently, we are looking only for the best and brightest. If you're not willing to work hard and learn what we teach you, you may want to consider a different industry.
The money and hours are good when you actually get sales. It is a white-collar clientele. The mileage write-off is good.
Cons
Commission-only sales is a real challenge for planning your finances. There is no base salary on which to plan your finances. If you make a sale the money is great, but in the months where you don't, it is impossible to plan your budget.

Thanks for your review. Although commission sales can be challenging, it can be very lucrative as well. Our representatives are paid on performance and those who are willing to work and follow our system do very well. Additionally, most medical companies who do pay salaries expect you to bring industry experience and a book of business. We will consider those without that experience if they have demonstrated sales ability.
