Pros

None. Literally none at all.

Cons

Where do I even begin? I worked at HeyDay for 4 years. I started as a regular employee out of high school, and continued to work my way up. When I worked at HeyDay, I was constantly dealing with abuse from managers and the owners. The owners are awful awful people. Trey Bates does whatever he can to save a buck even at the cost of his employees. He treats you horribly. He will notice every flaw about you and make you fully aware how he feels. The best part is, he will go and whisper to management about it too. He is miserable to be around. When he is in the building nobody is comfortable. He acts like a self glutinous jerk. The rest of the management? Horrible. Not only is Trey promoting his own family and not letting his employees earn spots, but the management he does hire is horrific. Here’s my story: After working my way to management I gave everything to HeyDay. I even dropped college classes to continue to work 45-50 hour weeks. I worked tirelessly and experienced 4 GM changes over the span of 2 years. They don’t know how to hire a GM. All of them turn out to be predators and date the employees. Furthermore, I worked for HeyDay during a trying time. When they brought employees back they made a list of who to keep and who to let go. I was sent this list by other employees to discover my name wasn’t on it but nobody told me I was fired. When I contacted the lady who told us when she was hired that she’d do “anything to protect the managers and always make sure their job is safe” she lied to my face and acted like she had no idea what was going on. Only to call me back 5 minutes later with her and the GM on the phone telling me they were “moving in another direction”. When I confronted her about this over the phone she acted like she truly never knew. I was left with years of trauma for giving my literal blood sweat and tears for a job just to be treated like trash. Following this, the owner Trey Bates met with me to try and keep me quiet about all the abuse I endured. He gaslit me into thinking it was normal and I’d gain good quality traits from it. This place is horrible. Never ever work here. They cut corners, and make you miserable. The place is also absolutely disgusting (check behind the bars). To sum it up: there’s no benefits, there’s no PTO, there’s no work/life balance and you’ll be getting home at 3am from work on weekends feeling mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted. Do not even do this business or this family the favor of having your money.
