Pros

There are no good reason to work there unless you're desperate. I'm talking the level of desperate where you're about to be on-the-streets, digging-through-garbage-cans desperate.

Cons

If you look up reviews for 'The Austin Focus' on Glassdoor they are basically the same company. Here's the breakdown: they will accept just about anyone who applies because the turnover rate is rid-icu-lous. They really just need someone inside Sam's bothering people who are just trying to shop. Yeah, you're inside SAMS Club, not being an event coordinator. You're an event worker - think mall kiosk. You schedule is seven days a week. Say goodbye to seeing your family, friends, or sunlight for that matter. My average two week 80-100+ hour paycheck was between $450-600. How is that possible if minimum wage is $7.25, you ask? Because "office hours", which includes lugging inventory around and traveling from event-to-event does NOT count as time "clocked-in" you are working for FREE! Anyways, like another reviewer said, google "Smart Circle". You'll unveil a lot of schemes and scams.

Pros

Highland Presents does technically pay their employees, but it's not nearly what other review say it is. It's mathematically not possible to meet the sales that you would need to get $1500 bi-weekly (they don't even pay bi-weekly, I worked there)

Cons

This company lies to applicants and is clearly paying current brainwashed employees to write fake reviews. They're bland, non-specific reviews that mention NOTHING about what the job actually is (selling pillows and makeup in Costco and HEB). They'll just have one misspelled word to make it look like an employee wrote it genuinely. You won't make more than $300 per week, and you will work like a DOG for that $300 without gaining any real opportunity. Moving up the ranks in this company would be like moving up in a traveling circus. Even if you're running it, you're still running a circus.
