Pros

Pays more than the last job I had...

Cons

Rampant nepotism and overwhelming incompetence makes this a disgraceful company to work for. I worked for a bad manager at my last company and working at gateway health makes me regret my decision to have moved out. 1. False promises of raises 2. False promises of better positions 3. They move you at their will from position to position 4. Managers bring their buddies and have them do nothing and pay them 50k-60k above average for the position. 5. You do the work they get he pay check Most of the folks that are good employees are discouraged and overworked (I worked 64 hours in a 4 day week because I wanted a day off). My office mate requested vacation and said he will go out of the country. The company is putting international calls on his cell to reach him. This is a person that makes less than 100K, just to be clear this is no C-level employee or even a person with an office, just an average cube dweller. I work for a team of 12 and 6 quit in the last two weeks, three were new employees. 5 new hires coming... To make sense of it all: this company is loosing rivers of money. With the above mentioned facts this should not surprise you right. Bad managers, bad executives, low morale=failing company As if you need advice at this point: No matter how much money they offer you, do not come and work for this company. You will regret it the moment you step in and will regret it for years to come.

Pros

Benefits, but you can get those at any company

Cons

It just seems like every man is for themselves. I can't speak poorly of senior management because I don't interact with them. What I do is this: I bust my butt doing my job and taking on multiple responsibilities and seem to get nowhere with it. Management continues to give the run around and turns the other cheek whenever problems are brought to them. Morale is EXTREMELY low in EVERY department and no one seems to care. Our members are dissatisfied, our vendors don't take us seriously and most importantly, the co-workers are miserable. I used to love coming to work, now, with a new boss and the staff he has brought in, nothing is the same. Don't get me wrong, change is good if its necessary, but if it isn't broken, don't try and fix it. Let's talk about favoritism. I thought I graduated from high school a while ago, and by reading this, one would gather than I still attend, but thats how ridiculously petty this person makes us feel. There is evident favoritism in certain departments because they either worked together before or, well- thats the only reason! Bottom line: it is very frustrating and disheartening knowing you do the same work as others and probably do it even better yet you are treated like an incompetent moron just because you don't know the man in charge. I fear for my livelihood and sanity, and this company. I foresee us going down like the Titanic.

TOXIC CHAOS....RUN as fast as you can!

Pros

Great employees (excluding leadership) for the most part.

Cons

This company is a disaster. The culture is toxic and the poison is spreading fast. This is evidenced by the outrageous turnover to which Leadership simply turns a blind eye. There is no corporate strategy - no 5 year plan, no 2 year plan , not even a 6 month plan. Therefore there's no strategic alignment. Work is dumped on people in a reactive and haphazard way with unrealistic and, in most cases, unattainable deadlines. There is no consideration for employees because they are treated like chattel. The C-level execs are the primary cause of the issues, but their egos are too large to allow them to see it. The CEO has no business being in her role. The incestuous executive leaders seemingly got their jobs for political reasons. A simple Google search is not only laughable, but further indicates that this sinking ship is run by a group of misfits that other companies tossed aside. Core Behaviors are constantly shoved down the employees throats, while Leadership's behaviors fly in the face of exactly what they stand for. The executive leaders live in their own elitist bubble and are only interested in completing work that feeds their individual egos and self aggrandizement. When I've had the opportunity to hear the CEO, COO, or CFO speak publicly, I feel a deep sense of embarrassment, as I contemplate that this group is actually running this organization. It's only a matter of time before these leaders are exposed and the tower comes crumbling down.
