Pros
In my prior role, I joined a Series D startup which was a leader in its space and had a reputation for attracting smart and kind people; this company successfully exited about about 2yrs later. In the lead up to taking that role, and during my my time there, I had a prevailing thought: I *wish* I could've joined a couple years earlier. I couldn't shake the simmering feeling that I had somewhat missed the 'glory days'.
Joining Hightouch has satiated this craving and then some: I thought my prior role was a dream job, yet, I've just one upped myself!
Pros:
- Exceptional leadership who are wicked smart (rare combo of technical + business acumen) and have an admirable moral core. The founders (Tejas, Josh, Kash) are brilliant and just genuinely good humans. They've made some amazing leadership hires, including Prakash as VP of Sales and Corey as VP of Eng.
- High octane 'get-it-done' culture across every area of the business
- Unique PMF with a huge opportunity to create a category
- Shared values of being kind, helping each other, and that no job is too big or too small
- Product & Engineering ship *insanely* fast
- High levels of agency as an IC combined with extremely supportive management
Cons
Anyone considering a role here should recognise that HT is a very young company (less than 2yrs old at the time of writing) in hyper-growth mode. This means many processes are being iterated quickly and things can change on a dime. In my eyes, this is a good thing, but this kind of speed is for certain kinds of people. You should also be warned that you'll fall in love with the product and might end up working more than you expect. Not a con in my eyes but ymmv
