Pros
- opportunity to move up quickly - meaningful responsibility from the start - rewarded by increased responsibility (pro: great experience) - 100% remote (for me) - nice benefits (unlimited PTO, monthly wellness reimbursement, cell reimbursement)
Cons
- low pay for entry level jobs - rewarded by increased responsibility (con: not rewarded by pay/title + a lot of work for entry level) - only opportunity for pay/title change is in January - roles are loosely defined, end up wearing a lot of hats - priorities are always changing - definitely a "go, go, go" attitude all the time which is intense - a lot of micromanagement - still a growing company, so there are inefficiencies / growing pains (still doing a lot of manual work that should be automated) - still using google over microsoft (we all know excel is better) - struggle to find a healthy work life balance (no time for lunch, always working before 9am and after 5pm) - easy to be overworked - lots of meetings - very long interview process and no room for negotiating pay
