Work from home; Monthly lunches/happy hour on the company; Cool concept for a company

Cons

Low pay; poor management for remote employees; company is growing too quickly and the management is so inexperienced that they don't know how to properly handle it; company is very cliquey; average age of all employees is below 30 years old, therefore inexperience all around is a problem; rather than utilizing the employees with experience, management prefers to single out experienced employees so they don't get promoted; rather than testing out new systems and protocols, management uses it's employees as the test subjects

Disappointing. CEO enjoying all the perks.

Pros

Tons of fun parties, snacks, nice people and a nice office. You get to run the show if you’re liked which can be good or bad.

Cons

First it was a lot of fun. A lot of people want to do well, everyone there tries very hard in the beginning. Then they will change your job title without a warning. You slowly realize there is no future there. CEO is building his private fancy social network using the company. No one else gets the perks, not even the designers who work for him. That’s capitalism I suppose.

Pros

The company has/had great people working there. The team that built Homepolish is a compassionate and wonderful group of people who have the good of the company, designers and clients in mind. Those people created the company that people loved and an environment that reflected that.

Cons

That said, all of those people are gone. The company exist purely for greed and growth at this point. Much like thier NYC office, beautiful but empty and soulless.
