Lower than market rate base pay, company do pay good bonuses when they do well. Employees will need to depend on the bonus to make a decent living.
However there have been shifting of 'goalpost' to include things that are not relevant to your jobscope into the company KPI.
Eg, if there is any fatality in the company's premises, all bonus will be cancelled. That means you can possibly lose 20-30% of your annual package even if you are just doing administrative work that has no business in any of their production plant.
Employs mostly foreigners from cheaper countries so wages are artificially depressed. Offers low base pay and in turn cannot attract locals to join the company. It is a vicious cycle the management refuse to see.
Little career progression as most management have been in the same position for the past decade.
