Pros

Medical and 401K Benefits are good. It used to be a great place to work.

Cons

A lot of bullying and back stabbing within upper management. Sad to say but a lot of reverse discrimination. HR will not deal with situations within a timely manner and leave lower Managers left with a lot of difficult situations. They would rather push out the good workers than handle the difficult situations. Instead of education and kindness shown to staff it seemed the upper management's way has changed to talking being backs and finding every avenue to dismiss the staff. I am sad to say it is now a very unprofessional place to work.

Company in decline

Pros

Providing care to patients and their families at a difficult time in their lives, co-workers

Cons

Since Hope was acquired by Chapters Healthcare in Tampa, the culture has changed for the worse. Employees have been slowly made aware of how poorly the company had been managed by former management. Hope is trying to get their finances improved at the expense of laying off large numbers of staff and adding more job responsibilities to those who are left. Company-paid health insurance is no longer a benefit and mileage reimbursement was cut by 0.12/mile. Morale is low as co-workers are leaving with no one being replaced. Staff is being assured that things are improving but we are not seeing it!

Sinking ship

Pros

Company has been progressively getting worse for its employees over past year. Unrealistic expectations for staff nurses to deliver quality care with increase of census and skeleton crew, it used to center around patient and truly making them comfortable at EOL with extra time to spend with grieving families now there is more time on computers and less time with patients

Cons

See above always centered on signing up new patients whether or not they are truely hospice appropriate, tripled cost of insurance recently with new takeover byChapters health
