Pros
Excellent benefits and higher pay than what I would assume from a startup. In addition, the department I was in was very supportive with an exceptional team and tremendous team leader. While the team attempted to build and harness its own culture, that was quickly and frequently disrupted by senior leadership.
Cons
During my time, there were two heads of the company, one serving in more of a managerial capacity, the other in an executive leadership capacity. The challenges I faced were based on the disconnect between the more figurehead-type role and the remainder of the leadership in the organization. This individual created a toxicity that I have never seen before. Fear and intimidation were used regularly to ensure the company achieved, but not achieved company goals, but this individual’s interpretation of their own standards. This was, without question, one of the worst environments I have ever seen. Culture is not even a word that can be spoken as there is so much distance from even basic acceptance. While I hope the company can change, I could not deter someone more based on my experience.
