Pros

- some good people but they all end up leaving

Cons

- No vision - Poor communication, CEO AU and NZ are unauthentic and have no vision. Just try pleasing the board that they fed with BS coming from the General Managers and Heads. - No trust for employees who have the right skills and want to change things, they keep trying until they decide to leave or are made redundant. 4 restructures in 2 years. - Unrealistic goals and goals not aligned in between teams as there is no vision. We go from one thing to another just trying to copy competitors. - bullying and backstabbing culture. Some people are famously known for that pattern and nothing change. - lack of resources and care for people - Talented staff having to compensate for the lack of skills from others - Tech stack is so behind - a general MESS

Stay Away at All Costs

Pros

Central office location and some of the colleagues are quite nice

Cons

It has been a rollercoaster ride, and not the exhilarating kind. The project's goal mutated more times than I could keep track of. It became abundantly clear that the management lacked a coherent vision, leaving me and whole tech team in a perpetual state of confusion. As the project meandered aimlessly, even my manager seemed befuddled about our objective. The pay is average at best. Don't believe what they tell you during the interviews. There's no semblance of human resources or company culture at humm,

Toxic Beyond Recognition

Pros

The office is an old tea factory!

Cons

Ah, the saga of my tenure as a Scrum Master at humm. Picture this: I waltzed into the realm of agile dreams, armed with my enthusiasm. Little did I know, humm had its own interpretation of agile – a sort of twisted, parallel universe where sprints felt like marathons. They handed me a project that seemed to defy the laws of time and physics, expecting miracles on a bi-weekly basis. I, with all the authority of a caffeinated kitten, was supposed to rally the troops and summon forth the impossible. As the demands grew more unrealistic, culture becoming more hostile and toxic, I found myself tiptoeing on the verge of a nervous breakdown, wondering if I accidentally signed up for a stint in a circus instead of a consumer finance company. And just when I thought it couldn't get more absurd, humm decided to bid adieu to Agile altogether, ushering in the glorious era of Waterfall – because, you know, it's almost 2024, and nothing says cutting-edge like a failed project management methodology from the '70s. Alas, the grand finale involved the company parting ways with all us Scrum Masters, like we were relics from a bygone era. Ah, humm, you've truly mastered the art of irony, making Waterfall look like the avant-garde choice for the digital age. Cheers to years of absurdity and lessons learned!
