Pros

My team was filled with incredible working professionals. There is some outstanding talent at this firm with a friendly and laid-back working environment. I had a great work-life balance, and I'm happy to call some of my former colleagues my personal friends. The location in downtown is really spectacular with lots of things to do nearby. The CEOs are very friendly, and there's a fair amount of interaction between upper management and even entry level employees. Free lunches every Thursday are a nice perk. The company really stresses keeping individuals, and I liked that even if there was stress in the firm, there was never any inclination that employees wouldn't be taken care of.

Cons

This firm has a very conservative environment, and I was ultimately disappointed in disparities between departments and individuals. Men were automatically included in sporting events, while as I woman I had to ask multiple times and was still excluded from sporting events, while recent male hires and interns were still invited. There are certain individuals who skyrocketed positions within months, while others had to wait years for promotion opportunities (basically until someone quit or retired). While there are yearly raises/bonuses implied, the increase in pay is fairly insignificant compared to what other firms offer. Ultimately, the low pay, disparity between individuals, and transition in my job roles is what led me to look elsewhere. Vacation is also minimal and takes years before you get an increase in days, and benefits don't kick in for a whole 3 months which leaves you out of luck if you get sick soon after employment.

Pros

Everyone is friendly and most are helpful. New employees get company swag.

Cons

Lots of miscommunications without leadership taking accountability or understanding the tech they’re using, so training was subpar. It seems the people at the top don’t know what’s really happening with their subordinates. They claim to be “stable” but they have fired employees without warning while they were still in training. They mislead people in the interview process claiming they are a family-friendly company but do not offer support as they claim. There are some two-faced people in the company. They claim to have low turnover rate, but lots of people were looking for jobs after this employee left. It’s too bad the economy isn’t in a great place so most people stay because they don’t have other opportunities. Please don’t be fooled by their claims. “Whether in good times or bad, you can always count on the company and its management team” whoever wrote this is probably not in accounting or is making it up to keep the ratings. They try to retain employees by investing in a new coffee machine. How about using that money and actually train your employees? The recruiter fees are no joke, but they rather waste money than invest and retain in their employees.

Pros

IDS a real Estate Group promotes a positive and well balanced work environment. Everyone is extremely friendly and the culture promotes inclusivity and efficiency. The company is focused on the growth of its employees and values effective and positive feedback to help everyone find their place, wherever that may be. Over my years of employment, I’ve found them to be honest, fair and truly care about the well-being of their people. Whether in good times or bad, you can always count on the company and its management team. They promote growth, provide training and multiple pathways to achieve growth and development goals, both professional and personally. To have more than 60% of the employees with double digit years of employment, and such low turnover speaks volumes about the company.

Cons

I don’t have any cons, overall the experience has been and continues to be positive.
