Pros

Diversity, restaurant, infrastracture, OK salaries

Cons

Toxic culture, zero meritocracy, dozens of heads of something getting there after years of bad performance, without being questioned once, due to the protection they get from chiefs of something. Ridiculous performance, disgusting leadership and broken processes are the recipe for golden bonuses. They compensate all this insanity with free yoga courses and stress management sprints (where none of the staff’s feedback is ever taken into account), instead of educating people before promoting them. HR doesn’t face issues at their root, they try to merely cover symptoms. They’re there just for the salary themselves, no accountability, no sense of responsibility, they’re highly submissive. The company burns people out with style. Don’t accept any specialist position.

Pros

- Great location - Great employee benefits (though decreasing) - Amazing N+1, micro-management free - Had the chance to interact with some world-class specialists in their field - Above average salary - Good Work/Life balance

Cons

- Complete disconnection in between the C-levels and the reality of the market - Several incompetent "head of" and managers that the board will never challenge due to cronyism - Constant internal power/political war. By far the most political company I worked for - Most departments are working in silos and hate working with each other - Green and pink washing overall - Boomer mindset, old white male know it all - Discovering a colleague is on sick leave due to burnout is another Tuesday... total HR mismanagement - Hard to understand how such a decaying company is still so successful; they are very lucky

Pros

Location is beautiful, international exposure, high visibility in education

Cons

I am a current manager here and this is the only place where it seems to be safe to talk safely. Slackers who play suck up game to management get promoted and stay there for years.. Complete incompetence is accepted as long as you play the political game and cosy up to the right people... Don't you dare criticizing management, you will be mobbed out. Some managers are so unfit for their positions its actually shocking they're kept in their positions for so long, in a management development school nonetheless. No management skills whatsoever, no coaching, performance reviews are a joke, HR are actually a joke.. Upper management are gutless, most faculty notably some French ones are arrogant and like to prey on support staff to feel empowered and no one has the courage to state the obvious and control these behaviors. Even some assistants (PCFA) now have a god complex and forgot humility and teamwork.. Cleaning crew are probably the last beacon of humility and hard work in this place. IMD is no longer what it used to be, talent isn't retained nor does it even want to be anymore, recruitment quality at all levels is horrible, culture inexistant.. Sexism, mobbing, bullying, favoritism are a norm. And the current president, despite being an angry diva is at least better than the previous who was as useful as a lamppost during daytime. Customers aren't buying the hypocrisy anymore, it's palpable in the air.
