Pros
A strong 9-5.30 culture. You won't be expected to work overtime. A few good people, looking a bit bewildered in the middle of a fenland dystopia
Cons
To misquote Einstein, the definition of insanity is to do the same things over and over again, expecting different results. This is the groundhog day I experienced at ITG Ltd. I get the impression management think they are on to a real winner: people need ITG and cyber skills, we can help. The reality is that the marketing and sales staff have little in-depth understanding of their topics, and the area of focus just keeps getting larger ("need an ISO standard... We're the experts!") The result is an endless churn of emails (sent to purchased mailing lists!) wafer-thin blog posts, web pages, 3rd party products, press releases, new geographic websites. Endlessly growing a team with no idea of what they'll do each day. If we keep doing what worked last year, we'll keep growing! There is no product direction, and certainly no in-house products capable of driving growth. I spent my time at ITG trying to spread a few hours work over an 8-hour day. It was a nice break for a while, but got very dull very quickly. And I'd second the other reviewer: The chairs are the cheapest of the cheap, and the bonuses are not as described in interview. Of course the employment contracts don't include detail on the bonus scheme, so when your first pay packet is a disappointment, you have no-one to blame but yourself. Benefits are non-existent (although maybe they have a pension scheme by now) and you'll be expected to take 3 of your holiday days over Christmas, reducing the already meagre allowance.
