The WORST Recruitment Company in The North West

Some of the staff at ITECCO are really genuine people, it is a very social company and you can make some great friends there, however most of them wake up and leave sooner or later.

Where do I even start? First of all let me confirm that every single 5* review of ITECCO on Glassdoor is FAKE. I know this because I have been forced to write one in the past. ITECCO is hands down the WORST recruitment company in the North West. I worked there full time for 3 years and I have seen first hand the damage they cause to the recruitment industry. It's ruled by a con artist who has spent the past 5 years googling "luxury super cars for hire" at his desk. From day 1, you are thrown in to the deep end with absolutely no training whatsoever, sink or swim. Their business model is to mass hire trainees, throw them at a wall and hope one sticks. You are told to E-SHOT, E-SHOT, -ESHOT (mass email) and nothing else! They use countless web browser extensions to trawl the internet and find personal data so they can spam it repeatedly. Their database is a GDPR bombshell and there is a common catch phrase used amongst management "GDPR who?". The management team are all in their 20's and think they know how to recruit, but in reality they just received a few more bites from their spam emails than others. They pride themselves on being a "Sunday Times Top 100" company to work for...good one. The truth is they forced everybody in the office to fill in the staff questionnaire positively so they got an award. Watching the Managing Director shout "part timer" at somebody leaving the office at 6.30pm was a regular occurrence. If you are anything other than the Alexander McQueen starter pack boy, expect being picked out at some point. The Managing Director is a "Forex" con artist, he used to post videos in the office after hours pretending to be on a trading floor, scamming people out of so much money that when some unfortunate investors put 2 and 2 together, the office phones would ring all day long while they tried to contact him. We were told to ignore them of course. Just in case you think a past employee might be over exaggerating all of this, take a look at The Times Newspaper Forex Scam and you'll see the ITECCO Managing Director on page 1 stood next to his rented Lamborghini and an Air B&B mansion he pretended to own. Or for even more fun, google James Mills on Companies House and enjoy going down a financial crime rabbit hole! The reason for me posting this is to warn anybody looking to break in to their first recruitment job, please avoid ITECCO. Recruitment is a fantastic industry and there are some brilliant companies in Manchester who will help you develop and grow in to a great recruiter, ITECCO is not one of them. Trust me and everybody else who has posted their honest experiences on here.
