Pros

Snacks in break room drinks in the fridge

Cons

To start off this company was probably great at sometime but as you can see the last positive review was in 2020. In the procurement department your manager will be unorganized, scatterbrained, never at work, unimpressive, and claiming to work 17 hour days and be 1500 emails behind but accomplishing nothing through a 8 hour work day. I would never recommend this job to anyone who want to work in a professional environment you will be micromanaged and asked to do stuff you never signed up for. Company underpays people, doesn't give raises, expects 50-60 hour work weeks or you are not a hard worker, DOES NOT do company events like they claim when you interview. No growth opportunities, professional development is a joke. This company has a very reactive approach and does whatever it takes to get to the next day mentality. Very conservative people who don't believe in COVID 19. Remote is never a option period. This department is a joke run run run as fast as you can. I was there for one year and the procurement manager is getting a free pass for some reason. I left and found a much better job no problem in three weeks. Seriously if you have anything else lined up take that I am telling you if you take this job; one year in you will regret the decision. If you decide to leave they don't pay vacation or sick time. Hope this helps don't waste your time at Immedia.

Immedia Integrated Technologies Response

From Matt Blair, President of Immedia --- Thank you for taking time to provide feedback. Our core values encourage employees to be honest and let us know how they feel. I only wish I or another member of management was afforded the opportunity to hear you out and address the areas you’ve mentioned in real-time, but you have done that here so I will do my best to reply with the same intent. I am truly sorry to hear that this was your experience at Immedia. During this period of rapid growth, the company is not immune to feeling some growing pains. While I can't promise that the company will be perfect in all areas, I can promise that we're open to feedback and want to work with all team members to continually improve the employee experience. That being said, I can't agree with your comments regarding our culture and the demeanor of your management team. To achieve our mission to become the most sought-after technology company in the Southwestern United States, we must use our core values as our guiding light, especially during these times of hyper growth. It’s true that our team is relentless -- we certainly don't glorify overwork, but we don't ever leave the team high and dry, and we don't ever quit. I regret that this wasn't the culture that you felt as an employee. Because we care about each other professionally and personally, our leadership team knows the importance of fair compensation and benefits. In November 2021, merit-based pay increases were awarded to qualified employees. In addition to our competitive pay, we are proud to offer benefits that include a robust health insurance plan, 401(k) qualified retirement program with a 50% company match up to 4%, employer-paid life insurance and short term disability policies, generous PTO plan with seven company holidays, and a monthly cell phone stipend for qualifying roles. I always want to encourage our employees to take advantage of all the benefits available to them as they are a major component of their total compensation. The truth is that it isn't always easy for employees to feel comfortable sharing feedback like yours. It’s my goal that employees would bring feedback like yours to a member of management or leadership. To create a channel for employees to provide 100% anonymous feedback, Immedia has recently implemented an initiative where employees can submit a monthly survey to rate the company across six categories (Purpose, Company, Leaders, Employees, Customers, and Individuals). I take exceptional pride in the recent shift to a more proactive approach to employee engagement. The leadership team has committed to sharing the survey results and our plans for improvement in the most transparent way possible. Your comment that company events don’t happen seems to be off base as we’ve hosted fireside chats, birthday parties, all-hands meetings, informal happy hours, and off-site employee team building events all within the first three months of 2022. Our policy on remote work was established with the understanding that the nature of our business is very reliant on in-person work. Each employee's ability to work remotely is determined by their role. We also adhere to all state regulations regarding employee’s final pay. The sky truly is the limit for our employees -- we are innovating at breakneck speeds as the company moves into its next phase and the opportunities for growth are abundant. Often, I must make long-term business decisions that could have less than ideal implications in the short-term. If you bear with me during our company’s time of growth, I believe that our whole company will feel positive impact. I’m not one to shy away from taking ownership of our flaws -- we can always improve and feedback like this drives me to do so.

Can’t think of any at this time.

Cons

From the management to operations, there is a clear lack of professionalism that is impacting every aspect of the organization. It is important to address this issue and take steps to improve professionalism in order to create a more productive and successful work environment.

Toxic, toxic culture

Pros

Immedia provides incentives for you to get additional industry certifications- the problem is finding the time to do them. You are always stretched so thin especially with all the recent attrition that the last thing you want to do is spend the little extra free time you have focused on more work.

Cons

I could never recommend this company to anyone who wants to work in a professional environment. Their field operations are run haphazardly and the office has such a toxic agro culture that starts from the top. The company president, Matt Blair is invariably one of the most arrogant and skeeziest managers that I have ever worked for. To put it in perspective the man is pushing 60 and still talks like he’s in a fraternity. His idea of bonding with male employees is engaging in locker room guys talk and telling war stories ie. his midlife crisis, amorous conquests. The owner, Jeff on the other hand is far more professional and approachable yet he’s been around less over the last few years. When I first started with the company they appeared to have so much promise but over the last year I have personally witnessed the rapid decline. They have been losing employees at an alarming rate over the last 6 months and while it is in some part due to underpay, it's also a combination of a toxic office culture and an unwillingness on the managers' parts to get their heads out of the sand & fix things. When I left earlier this year I was asked if I was going to a new AV competitor in town that had been heavily recruiting employees. The undertone of the questions felt very negative and threatening. I was told that this new company had no business, no revenue and that it would be a very unwise decision if I went to work for them even though I repeatedly assured them I was going elsewhere. It's interesting to hear from colleagues that have now left as recent as July and August of this year that they also noticed a very threatening undertone in their exit interviews as well.
