      Toxic management and misleading leave policies

      Chennai branch has no pros only cons.

      This company is a lala company. The leave policy feels misleading—they advertise 8 holidays, but some of those fall on Saturdays, making the actual benefit much less than it appears. It comes across as a cheap way to inflate the holiday count. The biggest issue is the lack of clarity. If you ask four different people the same question, you'll likely get four different answers. Even the management doesn't seem to have a clear direction or know what's happening next. Based on my experience, I would not recommend joining this company if you value transparency, good management, and peace of mind.

We would like to clarify that our leave and holiday policies are clearly defined and communicated to employees, and are designed in compliance with applicable regulations. Employees are provided with six public holidays and two floater holidays each year. In cases where a public holiday falls on a weekend, it is not counted toward the holiday quota, ensuring that employees continue to receive all the six holidays.       Strong leadership and growth opportunities, but pay lags behind

      I worked in the Data Science team at Impetus Technologies for around 2.5 years, and overall it was a very positive experience. The Data Science organization is one of the company's biggest strengths. The leadership, from the Data Science Director to the managers, is highly supportive, approachable, and focused on employee growth. I had the opportunity to work on challenging AI and Data Science projects while continuously learning new technologies. The work-life balance was excellent in my project, and my client was supportive and respectful of personal time. One thing to note is that the experience can vary depending on the client. While some clients maintain a healthy work-life balance, others may require employees to work beyond regular working hours. Fortunately, I was part of a very good client engagement. Overall, I would definitely recommend Impetus to anyone looking to build a strong career in Data Science and AI.

      The compensation could be more competitive, especially considering the current market. Additionally, the office infrastructure has room for improvement. Work-life balance is also highly client-dependent, and some projects may involve extended working hours during critical phases.
