Pros

Flexible working: a few days in the office for team meetings and business anouncements and low key Friday socials to celebrate a busy week. Management: Gary and his management team are all down to earth people, allowing employees to run things to their style (within reason of course and meeting clients' needs), fostering a relaxed, professional working environment. Exposure to other channels and specialisations: the company has about 30 people who allows for easy collaboration when joint specialisation projects come up (eg CRO and Paid Search, or Paid Search + SEO). Good exposure to what others do in their field to better understand the digital space and grow as a marketing professional. Room to grow and learn: the team here work to a 80/20 principle (80% work and 20% self education), allowing for self study and upskilling on both soft and technical skills and industry/vertical trends. During busier times this may waver but generally it's kept top of mind and encouraged by managers to do things like block a few hours a week for learning. Great clients: Indatum has a range of clients and the ones I've managed have all been easy and hassle-free to work with.

Cons

While we have a board room the team commandeers on a Friday afternoon to play Nintendo Switch and unwind, or table tennis, some weeks everyone just goes home. There is planning to encourage more socialising in the final hours of the work week, good to catch up with those you may not have face-time with on work projects. Self learning is still heavily reliant on finding your own training- vendor-led sessions are few and far between. There is planning to improve this with a pre-made list of relevant training (both expensed and free) which should address this.
