Pros

Basic entry level data engineer

Cons

As a current Data Engineer at Infoya, I’ve found the experience to be far more frustrating than rewarding. From a technical perspective, there’s a clear gap between how projects are pitched to clients and how they’re actually executed. Expectations are often unrealistic, timelines are compressed without proper planning, and engineering teams are left to manage the fallout. It frequently feels reactive rather than strategic. Communication across leadership, project management, and engineering is inconsistent. Requirements change mid-sprint with little documentation, and there’s limited clarity around long-term technical vision. As a data engineer, this makes it difficult to build scalable, well-architected solutions when priorities constantly shift. There’s also limited investment in employee growth. Opportunities for structured learning, mentorship, or career progression aren’t clearly defined. Feedback tends to focus on delivery pressure rather than professional development. While there are talented individuals on the team, the overall work environment can feel disorganized and stressful. I believe the company has potential, but significant improvements in leadership alignment, planning, and employee support are needed.
