Working at ICT has it's many benefits, but don't expect the paycheck for any work less than your hardest. These people work hard and long hours, and never leave a job unfinished (if it wasn't done, it was probably the plant's fault).
Some of the complaints I've seen are mainly due to people not having a full understanding of the nature of the work. Every plant has it's own personality, and the windows where you can collect high quality data are limited due to the time of day, coordination with plant employees, operational issues that might come up, etc. As such, if things are going smoothly and 5 pm rolls up, it's only logical to keep working while the going is good.
The travel required for the job is extensive. Upwards of 50% means exactly what it does. But if you have a passion for the field of work you're doing, and nothing holding you back besides wanting to be home, go. You'll learn and experience so much more. Work life balance with this job is hard to get a hang of but can be done. Plenty of the people who work here have significant others who are tolerant of the type of work being done and stay flexible and roll with it.
