Pros

Everyone is motivated and focused. Friendly working atmosphere. Those who don't need to be in the office can work very flexibly. Small enough to get to know most people.

Cons

Modest reward packages, e.g. no health care for fairly senior roles.

Pros

- great coworkers - good benefits - interesting job contents - occasional travel to Asia

Cons

- Compensation is low given the amount and complexity of the role High workload and frequent overtime, particularly during peak travel seasons, contribute to ongoing stress and burnout. - Poorly defined role scope, with sales consultants expected to handle sales, operations, and customer support tasks simultaneously, leaving many employees overwhelmed by constant multitasking and inability to delegate secondary tasks. - Management is largely unresponsive to employee concerns, with limited acknowledgment of workload challenges or suggestions for operational improvement. - Key decisions are made by upper management in the UK, often without consultation or visibility for the US team, leading to misalignment and frustration. - Minimal engagement from senior leadership, who rarely visit the US office or participate in team meetings. - Lack of meaningful career growth opportunities or influence over changes that impact day-to-day responsibilities.

Inside Travel Group Response

Thank you for sharing your experience and for taking the time to write such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re pleased to hear you’ve enjoyed the work, the people, and the opportunities that come with the role, which are themes often reflected across Inside Travel Group team members. We also hear the concerns you’ve raised around workload, role scope, support, and career progression. Travel can be demanding, particularly during peak periods, and it’s important to us that expectations, resourcing, and support are clear and sustainable. Feedback like this has been noted and has helped inform a number of operational changes aimed at better supporting our teams. This includes recruiting additional roles to help balance workload, prioritizing process improvements, as well as strengthening local ownership and decision‑making so teams are better supported day to day. While there’s always more to do, these changes reflect our ongoing focus on improving how we operate and how our teams are supported. As a global business, we know it’s important that our US team feels heard, supported, and connected. Our leadership team, both locally and globally, along with our POD team, are always open to conversation and feedback, and we encourage open dialogue as we continue to evolve. We appreciate you taking the time to share both the positives and the challenges of your experience, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like a more direct conversation with a member of the team.
