Out of the hundreds of government contracts running admissions and transitional services for students in the Job Corps program across the country, Insights pays their staff the least. On average, $8k to $10k less annually than those performing the same exact jobs. Goals are set unrealistically high and only benefit management while harming the quality and success of the program. The Human Resource department is there solely to protect the unfair and inappropriate behavior of management. HR refuses to have verbal discussions with employees and rarely respond to requests for help.

The pay is AWFUL! The bonus structure makes it almost impossible to make bonus. They are only concerned about their bottom line and not the employees. Some of the recruitment practices are very shady. The Job Corps program is designed to help students who are in some type of way disadvantaged (health wise, mental health wise, criminal past) as well as those who know that college is not the right path for them. The management encourages admissions counselors to look for "clean files" (no issues) to send to centers, so they stand a higher chance of acceptance and this company can meet their enrollment goals. I had to make my case for files, when I should not have had to. If you say you are truly here to help the disadvantaged, then stay true to your word. They constantly threatened us with being fired and did not promote a positive work environment.
