Pros

IHA has a really strong culture and great team spirit. People work hard but they also know when to unplug and enjoy each others' company. You get to have lots of autonomy in your work and there are many opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally. It's a small team of incredibly intelligent people working on very difficult industry-wide problems. Each day is satisfying in its own way. Leadership has high expectations but they're understanding and supportive. Office is very conveniently located above the BART station and is close to the restaurant scene, and there's a culture of lunch outings.

Cons

The work is complex and difficult. The content is complicated and information flows fast. The team is small so we rely on outsourcing a lot of our work and every aspect of the work comes with heavy vendor management. Work/life balance can suffer if you don't create boundaries early on. Each day is satisfying but you walk away with battle scars.

Pros

Leadership is the greatest asset to IHA. The leadership team has fortitude and conviction; they are also caring and understanding. There is a special balance between business expectations & personal connection. Everyone at IHA fits the culture and friendships extend beyond the office doors. There is also growth potential; HR is proactive about professional development & providing the necessary tools to grow.

Cons

IHA is rapidly growing; this 'start-up' nature comes with challenges. If you're willing to navigate process improvement & make a big impacts on the industry, there is nothing deterring about being part of IHA.
