Pros

Potential for long-term employment in a utility industry, progression opportunities offered world-wide.

Cons

Constantly walking a tightrope of fear when at work, insufficient staff to run their plants safely (or at least to the standard they espouse), plants are getting old and need more money/personnel resources which they are not getting. Company management stuck in a cycle of introducing 'shiny new toys' in the shape of new company initiatives/plans etc far too often, so one is not properly thought out/implemented/completed before the next one comes along. Too many managers intent on climbing the career ladder who are ticking all of the boxes for their boss but not actually managing the staff they are supposed to be leading. Could be so much better than it is.

Pros

Good compensation. Comfortable working environment. If you want to just do your job and go home the company is a good fit. If you are a person who has personal drive and ambition and like growth, InterGen isn't for you. Pleasant coworkers.

Cons

No growth, weak leadership team, boring suburban office location. Time off policy is good and benefits are excellent. Senior leaders tend to stay in their offices and don't come out to cubical land often. Low cubicles offer no privacy or ability to concentrate. Everything is out in the open.
