Unfortunately, the C-suite leadership consistently makes poor decisions and reflects a lack of creative thinking and imagination about the potential of the organization. The leadership tends to be too conservative and out of touch with what is really going on in the field and the potential the organization has to make an impact. So much so that now the organization risks being irrelevant. Moreover, leadership appears to be pulling resources from pursuing external funding for the very projects that are making a difference!

The culture is toxic the past year+. The execs seem to be disconnected from the staff and have done nothing to fix the environment. The org spends money like it grows on trees in the wrong places. Staff get very small raises, but 100's of thousands can be spent on contractors doing work that staff can do. Benefits costs have gone up every year, yet the org has a larger budget year over year.
