Pros

Great Co-Workers! The best part of the job is the amazing people you work with. Many of them are talented and hardworking, but they deserve far better conditions. Supportive Immediate Management! My direct manager is great, but you can see the toll this job takes on them. They do their best despite the chaotic environment.

Cons

1. Unsafe Employee Meals The Employee Dining Room provides free meals, but most employees avoid it because it consistently leads to illness. Yes, even the salad. Despite this, management discourages employees from eating extra guest food, leaving limited safe alternatives. This issue is reportedly common across Levy locations. 2. Food Safety Oversight is Ineffective The stadium has a designated food safety officer, but rather than ensuring efficient and safe operations, their approach feels micromanaging rather than solution-oriented. If food safety protocols were effective, employees wouldn’t get sick from the cafeteria. 3. Lack of Leadership & Direction The organizational structure lacks clarity and cohesion, leading to reactionary rather than strategic decision-making. This disorganization slows progress and negatively impacts employee morale. 4. Security & Logistics Issues Getting to work shouldn't feel like an obstacle course, yet security procedures create unnecessary challenges. This is particularly frustrating given the long shifts & physically demanding nature of the job. Pro tip: Wear comfortable shoes & compression socks. Your feet will thank you, & you'll be in a better mood. 5. Workplace Culture & Employee Engagement The facility operates with a rigid, impersonal structure, making employees feel more like disposable labor rather than valued team members. Given the scale of the organization and the resources available, creating a sense of community should be at the forefront. Instead, cross-team collaboration and communication are discouraged, leading to further disconnection. 6. Limited Growth Opportunities Despite showing initiative and leadership, advancement opportunities are unclear or non-existent. Management acknowledges the need for certain roles but instead of promoting from within, they opt to shuffle existing personnel around. The high turnover rate speaks for itself. 7. Intuit Dome: Where Basketball Meets Technology… But Not Employee Well-Being The facility prides itself on innovation, yet there is a disconnect between leadership decisions and the daily employee experience. ➡️ Final Thoughts: This workplace has potential but is currently disconnected from reality when it comes to employee satisfaction and operational effectiveness. I’m planning my next steps carefully, and once I transition out, I’ll take what I’ve learned but won’t look back.
