A masterclass in organizational ambiguity

Pros

Team seems talented and smart and passionate about what they do. They also have a decent opportunity to become a key player in the EV charging ecosystem when/if they execute better.

Cons

1. Little to no alignment or shared vision amongst leadership. This significantly impacts the work that gets done downstream. 2. Decision making is fragmented and reactive. Too much time is spent on politics, ambiguity, and changing direction because the CEO got some advice from an LLM. 3. Leader in C-Suite appeared perpetually disengaged. Meetings felt unproductive and unfocused. 4. Over emphasis on optics and branding and internal hype vs operational rigor and disciplined execution. 5. Non-existent hiring strategy/organizational planning. There’s no framework for scaling teams, defining ownership, or building org structure intentionally.

Pros

The company had a number of great staff members, who work hard and are invested in the industry.

Cons

The CEO is deeply ego driven, caustic, abusive and diminutive to those who dare disagree with him. Many of the senior leaders have adopted a similar work style. There is poor corporate vision, paired with a mindset that you owe the company every moment of your life.
