Massive Layoffs, Poor Leadership, and a Company With No Future

Pros

They pay a salary and give you the bare minimum benefits.

Cons

In March 2025, nearly 40% of the company was laid off in a major Reduction in Force (RIF). This event wasn’t handled with care or transparency. It was sudden, poorly communicated, and exposed how disconnected leadership is from both employees and reality. It was clear then (and still is) that leadership has no meaningful plan for growth or sustainability. The company’s leadership team is fragmented and self-interested. There’s no collaboration, no unified direction, and certainly no regard for employee well-being. Communication is minimal, and when it does happen, it’s top-down and non-transparent. The product, mainly in ESG and EHS, is severely outdated. It’s not competitive, and there’s little to no product development or innovation happening. Bugs go unresolved for months, and updates are rare. Sales struggles as a result, with deals falling through constantly due to a weak product-market fit. The company is years behind competitors and shows no signs of catching up. On top of that, departments like HR, Marketing, and Development are scattered across multiple time zones and countries, which causes delays, confusion, and a lack of alignment. Internally, the culture is toxic. Most people are either negative, trying to protect themselves, or looking for a way out. Unless you're looking to burn out or planning to leave quickly, I strongly advise against joining. This is not a company with a future, and there’s no real effort being made to change that.

Pros

The company values the contributions of the HR team and the trust placed in HR to make decisions that positively impact the greater team. This autonomy reflects the company's confidence in the HR expertise and the understanding of what’s best for employees.

Cons

Sometimes there is a lack of consistent messaging.

Great Team, But Leadership Needs an Overhaul

Pros

IsoMetrix has some truly fantastic, talented individuals who are passionate about their work. My first two years here were rewarding, especially as I got to collaborate with driven, capable colleagues. The fact that the company allows 100% remote work is also a major perk, providing great flexibility.

Cons

The company’s leadership and working environment have deteriorated significantly. There's a lack of genuine care for employee input, growth, and well-being. Senior management tends to make decisions without considering feedback from the rest of the team, creating a culture that feels stifling and dictatorial. Personal development is rarely encouraged or supported, and autonomy is practically nonexistent, which can be incredibly frustrating for anyone hoping to have a meaningful impact. Talented staff members are hindered by poor decision-making at the executive level.
