NO-GO zone toxic environment and dead-end culture
Pros
I am working on leaving. Not just me.
Cons
For the sake of your mental health, stay far away from this workplace. Extremely toxic environment with a terrible reputation — talented people usually leave within 1–2 years if they can. Salaries are far below market average. Client projects are chaotic, deadlines are missed all the time, and problems are constantly covered up. Some senior consultants (5–15+ years at the company) simply refuse to work. They are lazy, arrogant, and expect new consultants to do everything for them. New hires are basically used to earn the money that pays the senior staff, who do nothing but still take credit. The whole culture is built on gossip, favoritism, and personal connections — not performance. Some long-time employees keep their roles only because of who they know, not what they do. Others spend their days in the kitchen or on their phones (mostly on dating apps), if they even bother to come in. There are zero consequences. Management protects certain developers or designers even if they act rude or aggressive. It doesn’t matter how bad they behave — as long as they are seen as “valuable,” they can do whatever they want. Reporting issues doesn’t help. Many people ended up completely burnt out and left. The lazy, long-time consultants all protect each other. They don’t want to leave, because they know they’d have to work somewhere else — here, they just live off other people’s effort. These people wouldn’t survive on the job market anymore — no one would hire them. And don’t expect any help from HR. They don’t care. The HR manager is scared of the old consultants and refuses to take action, even though she could fix the situation if she wanted to.
