Pros

Mike Jones a Great Person to work with, and other Employees that are nice and professional. Benefits

Cons

1. Terrible, Again Terrible Management = Company Run by One Person who is bulling everyone to do more work. 2. You are doing a work of three People YES three people. Workloads are simply UNREALISTIC. 3, There is NO Backup System so if you are out for a day or two you come back to Inbox full of emails. Your coworkers can't help you as they are swamped in their own work. 4. If you want to be a Puppet please go ahead. 5. Corporate Office of Brown & Brown is not doing anything about the situation simply ignoring voices of former or current Employees. 6. When you are there you will discover quickly a long list, YES a long list of former employees that went through that place within the last 10 years. On average everyone lasts about a year or less. YES less than a Years because of above mentioned reasons. 7. This Place WAS NEVER NORMALL again Never simply because it was ALWAYS again ALWAYS Totally understaffed because of Principal Karen Izzo. So if you want to work in a place that is like a Revolving Door = one gets in another one gets out than you are welcome to join. With the workloads and stress you will get after your initial three months you will think quickly of some psychiatric institution. Would you like to be in one ? Stress, Pressure, Constantly being overworked and No Life Work Balance, All are welcomed, All are Welcomed All are Welcomed in this place.

Multiple reviews by one disgruntled employee. Several employees with decades of tenure. Have questions? Ask to speak to any current employee to learn the truth about how great it is to work here. Home office also did confidential survey of every person and EVERY PERSON reported they were very happy here and EVERY PERSSON reported they would refer a friend to work here. Any candidate can speak to current team members or home office HR person who conducts confidential surveys.

Pros

Good benefits, hardworking coworkers. Pays for training and licensing to obtain IL property and casualty producer licenses.

Cons

The office is perpetually understaffed and there is a revolving door of new hires. Account managers typically don't last longer than 6 months due to the unreasonable workload and poor upper management. Senior management is unable to train and new employees are thrown to the wolves and expected to figure it out. I saw 5 employees leave in two and a half years in an office of roughly 11 people. Compensation is minimal unless you actively push for an increase. Employees are also made to work mandatory overtime to make up for the impossible standards.

Same former employee who did not have capability to advance created two negative reviews. Staff is great. Remain for decades. Several until retirement. If there are any doubts, ask to speak to any current employee. Home office also did confidential survey of every person and EVERY PERSON reported they were very happy here and EVERY PERSSON reported they would refer a friend to work here. Any candidate can speak to current team members or home office HR person who conducts confidential surveys.

Pros

Nice location, company pays for state licensing classes, decent benefits, hardworking coworkers.

Cons

Company was family owned and significantly understaffed, probably to make it appear more profitable as it was sold to public company Brown and Brown in Jan 2019. Few long term employees remaining only because they are close to retirement or home. Disorganized, chronically understaffed, cannot retain new employees. Company founder still managing location is out of touch, unprofessional and does not know how to create a positive work environment. You will be undervalued, overworked and underpaid - period.

One same prior employee makes multiple posts under different email addresses. It's sad. We are open to any candidates speaking confidentially to every employee. We provide names, email addresses, phone numbers to any candidate that wants a picture of how great it is to work here. Brown & Brown has had their senior HR person personally interview every team member in the office. She obviously kept team member names confidential but was happy to report that EVERY PERSON is happy they work here and EVERY PERSON would refer a friend to join us. She said that was an exceptional response and was very happy to report it to senior management in home office. If any candidate wants the HR person's contact from Home Office that did the confidential interviews, management would be happy to provide. We are extremely proud of our team members and the environment.
