We do expect a high level of professionalize from our drivers. Communication is very important in our organization and trust must be earned. We also expect drivers to perform a through pre-trip inspection of every piece of equipment. Safety bonus are EARNED by drivers. In 2023 drivers were paid over $70,000.00 in earned safety bonuses. We do our best to be fair and honest when it comes to our drivers.

Pros

There are some ups to working at Rothrock. They run mostly the east coast and all back hauls come back to the Greensboro area. Getting home during the week and every weekend is a plus. Also, we just got a raise today!

Cons

Some runs are short, so the miles a week can fluctuate somewhat. Bi-weekly paychecks.

Update- We have grown our fleet and now offer drivers the flexibility to be out for 2 weeks. Drivers are on a weekly pay cycle and paid time off has been increased. These things were put in effect by listening to drivers. We have suggestion boxes in our terminal and like to hear feedback from employees. We also like for them to be involved in solving issues. See a problem - help solve it. We all win in the long run!

Pros

Best reason to work at Rothrock is if you're FAMILY. If you're not family, you're not making money. Benefits were good when first started, then went downhill. Vacation/holiday/sick time was plentiful.

Cons

Non-family treated badly, horribly racist (this coming from a white person). All office staff is white while a large percentage of the CDL-A drivers were black. Dispatchers have favorite drivers who get more work than others. Unfair practices.

This is not the culture in our company. We pay a fair wage for fair work. Raises are EARNED. 75% of benefits are paid by the company. Employees are hired by skill level and work as a team. We promote from within and even make positions when we see employees are strong in areas the company may be weak. We take pride in providing a living for over 80 families and to be in business of over 80 years.
