- Don't actually manage anything, just a JD robot that has to do as they are told. - Low pay and all GMs are paid different salaries with no explanation or chance of earning a pay rise. Element of discrimination here. - No work life balance, expected to work 60 hours a week but only get paid for 40 and must be on call 24/7 - Bad company culture, with bullying and harassment mentality. Constant threats. High turnover of staff due to this culture. - No support from managers, they just want to keep you quiet to make themselves look good - Unachievable bonus structure - Low staffing structure, you will be on your own a lot of the time. - Monthly overnight shifts required, which are never mentioned when you are offered the job. - illegal working hours. eg Finishing at midnight and coming back in at 5am - No clear direction from the business or future planning. Constant policy changes. - Micromanaged from the top down - Your mental health will suffer
