Do you want:
To be guilt-tripped that there were things to do when you try to call out sick?
Absolutely no guidance or training?
To have bonuses be a popularity contest, a decision made at the whim of one person?
To get sick ALL the time because company culture mandates no one ever stays home when they feel sick?
A project manager who berates all their subordinates, and gets physically violent?
A management team who condones this behavior because they’re a more important part of the team than you?
To be intentionally ostracized when you ask for an accommodation for a disability?
To have your job threatened every time you make a mistake?
To never be eligible for a raise?
While this review might sound personal, unfortunately it’s not. Yes, all of these things happened to me, but they also happened to various friends at various JMA sites - Many of them women, as well as others with disabilities. If you are a straight white healthy heterosexual male who will never ask for a day off, you might be successful. Otherwise, you are fighting an uphill battle every step of the way.
Run your team until they’re exhausted and unable to work, then find an excuse to push them out. This is JMA culture.
