Deeply flawed company

Pros

- Some of the people are nice. - You do learn a lot on your accounts.

Cons

- JPA is run by politics. Whether the CEO or the right members of senior leadership personally like/dislike you determines your future at the company. - JPA can't address anything well. They missed the mark on COVID, Black Lives Matter, summer promotions, the election, the Capitol riots, Black History Month, etc. It's 2021 - you can't be a good business and stay silent on things happening in the world anymore. - JPA could care less about your interests, relationships, or personal goals. Every few months they shift around your accounts and managers without much consideration for what you want. I loved my old manager and now I'm managed by someone I really never worked with/knew and it is distressing. -JPA is extremely cheap. For doing so well financially, they rarely budge if you ask for a raise or to be paid fairly.

Think Hard Before Taking a Role Here

Pros

- The clients represent an interesting industry with lots of challenging assignments. - There were some individuals (mainly the younger associates) who were dedicated to producing quality work, and who were willing to endure the toxic atmosphere for the sake of delivering quality.

Cons

See "Advice" below. This is a toxic organization, run by individuals who are so arrogant and egotistical that they cannot bear to have their opinions challenged. Based on this leadership style, the layer below management has learned to display loyalty at all times to leadership, even at the expense of good work or quality talent. Going a layer down to the VP level, there are mediocre talents who purge good people to protect their precarious standing.

This company is trifling to say the least.

Pros

Nice colleagues for the most part

Cons

Need a job? Sure, this will work for now, but the company is going down the drain thanks to the CEO who pushes her own agenda which often conflicts with what EVERYONE else wants. JPA has experienced several mass exoduses. Also, beware of JPA's reviews. I don't know why companies think we can't tell when senior leaders/HR are writing their own glowing company reviews. Pro Tip: If the only cons reviews say is along the lines of "sometimes, we work hard but that's true for any agency!" or "we're experiencing so much growth but that really may be a pro!" it ain't real. Don't be fooled.
