Don't believe what the managers say

Pros

At first it seemed like a good opportunity because they train you and want you to be professional and grow with them. Some of the people that you get to work with are great people.

Cons

Your job is going to be signing up and selling phones to low income people based on commission. There is no base pay. You put in long hours and you are going to be outside pretty much throughout the day in whichever weather conditions. Now the part that they don't tell you is that you require a permit. The city requires a permit. They don't tell you this. So I got a ticket, other people at the company have also gotten tickets and you have to go and appear in court. I'm no longer working for this company. Honesty and trust is what I look for. And don't believe what the managers say because in the end Nilda, the head boss doesn't care about your tickets as long as she didn't get one. The company does not want to be responsible and is not going to pay a penny for it.

Pros

None. If you like selling phones to low-income individuals, then this is for you. Whatever position they say you will be, it boils down to this.

Cons

This company intentionally puts vague language in their ad postings to fool people. Whatever position you're applying for e.g. "Marketing Coordinator" you will be selling phones to low-income individuals on the street. Please don't fall for this scheme!!

JV Commerce Response

Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate those who take the time to share their experiences. I would like to quickly address the issue you experienced. You mentioned that you were a former employee who did door to door sales. We do not offer ANY kind of door to door roles with our company as that is restricted based on our client contract which an employee signs during their first day paperwork. I wonder if you may be confusing our firm with another company? We would very much like to discuss your experiences further and resolve this issue, if you would like to talk to me please do not hesitate to contact me through the email address on the JV Commerce website.

Pros

After my first phone interview, I was called in fora first round interview which went really well. I was told about the company and they really cared about knowing my opinion. Both the CEO & HR Admin are really caring and FAMILY ORIENTED people. I really enjoyed talking to them and experience their personalities first hand. The company has great opportunity for growth and gives interns the experience entering the real world. Great values as a whole!

Cons

No cons at all for this company
