Pros

Decent healthcare plan, 401K. Holidays are paid too. That was nice.

Cons

Hours are not flexible. You will work night shifts and taking leave is like pulling teeth! It was easier for me to take leave from the hospital than requesting vacation from this library. Employees and supervisors were asked by the City to take Discrimination and Harrasment trainings because there were complaints filed against supervisors. Staff had to adjust their schedule to attend hearings in City Hall for discrimination and harrasment! Everybody thinks that the library is quiet, but it is so toxic behind the curtain.

Pros

I can check out materials for 6 weeks.

Cons

I don't feel like my work is valued. There's a micromanage pandemic there.
