We appreciate all feedback, but we strongly disagree with the claims made in your review and want to take a moment to clarify our policies and defend our team members, who are dedicated professionals.
First and foremost, every potential staff member goes through a thorough vetting process before being hired. This includes full transparency regarding pay structure, expected hours, driving requirements, and all other key details. Every individual who joins our team is provided with this information in advance so they can make an informed decision about working with us.
Regarding setup time, we clearly communicate that our pay structure is based on performance time, as is standard in the entertainment industry. However, we take every measure to ensure that setup and teardown are as efficient as possible to minimize unpaid time. Additionally, in many cases, we do offer additional compensation for extensive setup requirements, which is communicated on a per-event basis.
As for last-minute changes, while we strive to provide as much stability as possible, this is the nature of live entertainment and event production. Events sometimes change due to client needs, venue adjustments, or unforeseen circumstances. Our team does its best to accommodate these changes while maintaining fairness to all staff.
The accusations made toward John, Lindsay, and Tyler are entirely false and unfounded. They are hardworking professionals who are committed to running a successful business and treating employees fairly. Claims that they “thrive off drama” or that John “refers to himself as God” are not only inaccurate but entirely fabricated. Personal attacks like these are unfair and misleading.
Regarding training, we believe in fostering a collaborative team environment. More experienced team members may be asked to train new hires, which is standard in many industries. Training ensures that all events meet our high standards, and we appreciate the mentorship our team provides to newcomers.
Finally, the claim that we withhold tips is completely false. If a client includes a tip in their payment, it is either paid out to the DJ directly or factored into their compensation. Any suggestion otherwise is simply incorrect.
We take great pride in our work, and our long-standing relationships with both clients and staff speak to our professionalism and integrity. While we understand that not every workplace is the right fit for everyone, we stand by our team and the way we conduct business.
We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
Best,
JAMMIN’ DJs Management
