Pros

Subsidized lunch program, good group of people below the management level.

Cons

The lack of direction. Management has their collective heads in the sand. The platform is substandard and this is swept under the rug at every chance. Saying the sentence "Where are we with active, active" will get you if not fired, sent to the woodshed. They have been taking departments over the last year that should be dispersed and are consolidating them under one silo that should not have control over the resources. I left in 17, and it was a mess then, and it will be in the foreseeable future. Nice people, but as far as the industry is concerned, they are posers.

Pros

Brand new building with awesome amenities. Full benefits offered.

Cons

I use to Love Jive and everything it stood for. I could have spent the rest of my life working for Jive. And now, sadly they are a shell of who they once were. I loved the (CEO), what an amazing man with a huge heart who treated everyone of his employees like true family. Somewhere along the way after selling the company to LogMeIn he lost all compassion and wisdom for the people who put their sweat and tears into the company for him. I still think there is a great man in there somewhere but he is simply just doing his last couple years via his contractional obligation after the sell. With any “take over” there are lots of changes. I understood this and held on as long as I could hoping things to get better. After many months and the horrible conditions in which management was treating people I decided to resign. Before giving up; me along with many others, professionally addressed the bad treatment to Jive’s original CEO, VIP’s and even LogMeIn corporate offices in Boston. The refusal to do anything about the conditions in the end was my cue to walk away with tears in my eyes. Tears for such an amazing company that had sold its soul.

Pros

The only pro about working at Jive Communications is the health insurance and the annual retreat.

Cons

Some of the managers are the most arrogant people I have ever met. I Was the youngest employee in my department and was treated with such disrespect. The manager of my department was extremely bias towards a few employee's since they were BEST friends and in the same Church Ward. If you're not a Mormon, there is a good chance you won't last very long. This manager wanted a yes man, not someone who gives good advice and can help the team advance. It is more than okay to miss work if you have a headache or have to get your kids from work. But if you need to leave for a medical emergency, you're docked pay, or have to bring in FMLA paperwork. the manager should be fired. I ABSOLUTELY HATED WORKING FOR JIVE COMMUNICATIONS. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND JIVE TO ANYONE UNLESS YOU'RE IN SALES.
