Cons
At times the volume of stuff we are trying to do feels overwhelming

Pros
These are the handful of positive I can think of from working here: - Fully remote work setting, provides flexibility for employees to work from home. - Pay aligns moderately well to the Job Market - Extravagant spending on Social Parties - Talkative crowd, easy to make friends on a personal level with others working here (if you get along with them) This environment is suitable for those just starting out in the tech industry, but not those who already had experiences with other far better companies to compare against.
Cons
After working here, the negative certainly outweighs the positive for me: - Onboarding was chaotic and unstructured - JobAdder Product is very buggy, even when I explored it during training mode. - No growth or career development plans for employees, it’s mostly figure it out yourself type of scenario. - No proper knowledge transfer process that exists, placing a lot of responsibility/excessive authority to an individual that had been in the company for years and this created an unnecessarily heavy reliance on them. - New and unconventional ideas are constantly rejected without further validation. It was rather seen as a threat rather than opportunity to explore. - Speaking up pose a risk of losing job instantly, especially in smaller teams without any neutral views. - Challenging the status quo is not common in the team I was in, it’s mostly fit for blind obedience (e.g you build what I tell you to and how I tell you to) - Upper management that I dealt with during my tenure (either as direct report or people manager) was full of inexperienced people without any prior technical nor management skills in previous companies. I’m quite surprised that some of these people attained such a senior role within this company, as they don’t want to learn from others and seemed threatened by new perspectives brought into the company. - Stagnating environment with old tech stack. The team I was in has a psychologically unsafe environment with a huge lack of innovation and experimentation. The worst part was that the whole company seemed complacent or unaware of this. - Despite the importance of the function that I was involved in, the upper management outside of my team were very hands off, I’m not even sure if they’re aware of these things happening at downstream level at all as I didn’t receive any support or check ins. Staying behind at JobAdder would only stagnate my career, being forced to work with people who prefer to do it their way or the high way. Overall, I’m glad I left this company as I landed somewhere better. Lastly, I’m unsure about the validity of the prior positive reviews about JobAdder, but given that recruitment is their main trade, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of it were falsely made.

Pros
During my time with JobAdder, I have been fortunate enough to experience career growth, acquire new skills, and initiate changes that will leave a lasting impact, a rare occurrence in most workplaces. The company culture consistently exudes positivity, with a collaborative effort from all team members to create a leading product in the recruitment industry. JobAdder truly embodies its core values and maintains a strong, ambitious vision for the future. As a working mother, I greatly appreciate the flexibility provided to balance family commitments and professional responsibilities. I never imagined it was possible to love my job until joining JobAdder. Three years in, I still feel like I am in the honeymoon phase of my employment, a testament to the company's dedication to creating a supportive and engaging work environment.
Cons
JobAdder has matured a lot as an organisation in the three years I have been here. There has been growing pains throughout that process however, I have seen them as an opportunity to make the company even better than it is today.
