Pros

- Colleagues are great - Not sure what else to say? - Place is clean?

Cons

- Little resources - Management has insanely high expectations for what little resources are available - You're expected to work 3-4 jobs and have a skill set of at least 5 specialities

Pros

The only positive comment is the other staff you work with we're nice, and gave much more support than members of Management. In fact some employees had more knowledge than Managers and certainly put in more hours and effort.

Cons

Imported American General Manager Gary Peak prefers to call himself the Managing Director reigned terror on local regional country staff. He held employees in very low regard, and is the nastiest human being many of us encountered. Openly cursed about the local Gippsland area and his disdain for the area and the people. Has no genuine interest in employees, only his self serving ego. Very unprofessional and openly makes disrespectful comments about other employees past and present. He is moving company to Dandenong as he believes all country people are useless with nothing to contribute, yet business only declined once he took control of the Australian subsidiary. Owner of company, Jason Lo was contacted by Australian employees expressing their concerns (many letters directly emailed) and Jason Lo had one of his assistants reply with a 'thanks for contacting us' response, but never bothered to contact us again, or even reply to follow up emails we sent. This is a toxic environment ran by a man that has no idea how to treat people with any respect or dignity, and the owner of the company may often tell the story of his humble beginnings, but make no mistake - he has forgotten where he came from. The Johnson empire is starting to crumble, with many General Managers jumping ship globally due to all the nonsense and politics that go on.

Each Johnson Health Tech subsidiary is run as an independent business unit, and this Glassdoor page represents the interests and opinions of the employees from the North American office which serves the US market. While we’re sorry to hear that you had a negative experience in Australia it should be noted that your claims about the greater Johnson Health Tech organization are inaccurate. Globally the company is stronger than ever with growth rates that significantly outpace the industry averages.

Pros

The fellow staff - not senior management

Cons

Avoid working for JHTA, the CFO is a bully who uses his authority to demean the staff. I have witnessed this myself & it is one of the reasons that I left. They will take advantage of you & your time but do not show any respect. New MD started & from what I witnessed it is a 'boys club'. I saw people leave, but I heard from other staff who had been there longer than myself that in the last year they have had at least 25 staff leave, some they cannot replace. The CFO who is the HR Manager is toxic & it makes it very hard to complain or raise issues as his behaviour is accepted by management, so your only choice is to leave. Most people only stay because of their fellow team members & because they have little to do with Management, but you can tell that your manager is being mistreated by the CFO who bully's his way around the office. Morale of the story, just because they pay well doesn't mean you have to put up with this toxic environment.
