    Pros

Amazing CEO, leads by example. Spacious and bright offices with generous lifestyle benefits and salaries. Intelligent bunch of people and a company that thrives on autonomy, innovation and automation in all that they offer.

    Cons

Some confusion with strategic business plans. Sales engineers are usually slow to support customers and need to get out more to share their expertise with customers. High staff turnover in Australia. Contrast with the way Silicon Valley works.

    Advice to Management

Senior management needs to spend quality time with direct sales to understand and help overcome challenges. Need more investment in relevant marketing campaigns. Nurture passionate employees that put customers first, as they build relationships that Juniper needs to grow in this region.

SP is in DNA of company,

Security & commercial are kind of orphan

    Advice to Management

I worked at Juniper Networks full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are many bright people in Juniper and their routing technology (both hardware and software) is still, in many cases, second to none.

    Cons

Like any large company, over time, they accrue those who seek nothing more than to politic, internalise, silo, and throw others under the bus to save themselves. Its a sad thing to watch happen. Dependent on your location, the career choices can be limited.

    Advice to Management

There can be a feel of inverted triangle happening in some parts of the business which really should be cleaned out. In a way, I feel that the company is currently meandering - wishing the world of 10 years ago is still current. Juniper needs to take its best assets and evolve them to modernise its portfolio and business.
