Too many to list. Favouritism from upper management towards particular members of staff. Regularly received verbal harassment from customers, and had stock thrown at me by customers, with NO assistance from upper management when we asked for help. Store and assistant managers will talk about you in the office on shift, and will talk about you to everyone else when you leave. We were left with no assistant manager for 3 months, which meant sales assistants were being forced to work sometimes 9 shifts in a row. Shift allocation makes no sense, justified by our zero hour contact. We also got no breaks on shift unless you were working 8 hours. The stockroom has black mould on the walls and a mouse problem (baring in mind snacks are stored in there), and delivery boxes arrive with rat and bird excrement on them, and handprints with blood on them, which we have to handle with no gloves. Upper management spy on you through the CCTV like a 1984-big-brother-type dystopia, but are too scared to tell you off themselves and will instead pass messages cryptically to you via other members of staff. Such a toxic and anxiety-inducing working environment—not to mention the boredom of day to day life there. This place sucked the life out of me
