Pros

Salary - the salary is very competitive, there are great bonuses and you have a chance to get a raise once a year. Management - there is always someone online to assist your needs and help you if you have any problems during the classes; they really listen if you have an idea on how to improve your classes or you have a disagreement with sales or parents; every management member has it's role and they do their job very well, you always know whom to contact regarding different concerns. Employees - the atmosphere is very healthy, colleagues are open for discussion and there is no "bad blood"; most of the teacher are here for years and that speaks about the company as well, we are treated well and we stay here. Lesson materials - they started making new lesson materials and teachers have a chance to give comments and send suggestions on how to improve them and send grammar or misspelling mistakes; unfortunately it takes a lot of time to correct mistakes and development team is not always opened for suggestions and they do seem to insert a lot of British expressions for some reason. Software - the app we are using is simple to use and easy to learn. Standby classes - every new teacher is a part of standby program where you are on standby next to your computer and you are paid for that even if you don't get new classes which is usually the case since most of the bookings are done 12 hours prior the class. Sales - I see a lot of negative comments regarding the sales team, but most of them are not written in proper English and most of them say that the sales team is strict; the sales team is strict but that is completely justified, just because you speak English and passed the demo it doesn't mean you know everything; company has to take responsibility for you since you are going to work with children and you have to gain trust of the management, sales and the parents; in first few weeks or even a month they keep an eye on you because they want to see how you teach, react in different situations and how you cope with everything; sometimes you get feedback but not only negative ones, I got so many positive comments from sales and parents and those can really make your day; they insist on a minimum of bachelor degree and that is a great way to discourage low-quality personnel. Bookings - students pick you, the bookings are not made by the system and the student has to pick you; you are paid for every demo class even if they do not pick you, but bear in mind if you are not good with demo classes you will not get regular students; demo classes are free of charge for the student so company has to pay you and they are not going to continue investing in you if you are not bringing regular students, it's simple and fair;once you get your regulars your schedule is fixed so think about that before you open you available slots; you can cancel you classes without consequences 24 h before they start or even change your regular schedule but try not to do it often since parents might be disappointed. Overall the company is one of the best in the ESL market, they treat you like a human being and not just a number in the machine. I feel very pleasant to work here and will stay with them for sure and I know some of my colleagues think the same.

Cons

Software - it is a closed app so you can't share screen to play songs like we could do before with zoom but soon we will get new software that will be able to hold more data in it.

A dream job

Pros

I've been working for this school long enough to tell you that I am more than pleased with them. The management is fantastic, always there to help when needed and, in comparison with other schools, they don't take sides, but approach any issues professionally. Their bonuses and raises are fantastic, too, I am happy to actually make progress as I teach. The lesson materials are interesting and student-focused, so the students can learn and progress easily. Finally, the salary is always on time and there has never been any problems related to it.

Cons

Some people mind find it tough to have a fixed schedule. In KK Talkee, there are 1 on 1, 1 on 2 and group classes, so this might be a challenge for some people.

Good for Part-Time Teachers

Pros

You get a set schedule with the same students, so you're not always doing demos classes once your slots get filled. American company, so more of a guarentee you'll always get your paycheck (vs. Chinese companies).

Cons

Tonnes of correspondence on Slack. Racist hiring procedures.
