Pay the worst out of all catering companies in the area When you sign up you don’t know what hours your working and where making it impossible to plan the rest of your day even if the shift is only 4 hours long Many managers rude to staff and passive aggressive and very obvious top management don’t care about staff Barely ever pay travel costs even if over an hour drive away

Amazing friendly work environment. If you end up working consistently at a venue (e.g Micklefield Hall) you will quickly realise how warm and welcoming all staff members and managers are. Once known, shifts will become a lot more frequent. The actual work is fun, and the change in roles will change with the day if you are working for a wedding which keeps it interesting. For example I would start on drinks reception at the bar before moving onto service or wine and water.

Cons

Slightly hard to get a first shift, but once known that you work hard, they will come a lot more frequently.
