Pros

In terms of work it always has been null. Just a single pros that salary gets credited timely to deal with the motivation to work at such a place for 2-3 days.

Cons

•The people holding a supervisory position know nothing on development. •Juniors and trainees are treated like bulls. •No work and personal life balance. •They expect a person to work for them for atleast 11-12 hours and and work on weekends too( often at National Holidays). •Anybody working there feels demotivated for most of the time. •Team leads are too autocratic to be leaders. •No support to the employees unless they have a great past of being friends with the CTO. •You might be traveling from 3hrs away and still you would be expected to not choose shift that suits you. •Startups do need extra working people but accepting unrealistic deadlines from clients and pushing the employees to work it out is unprofessional. •The unprofessionalism that I have experienced here has never been seen at any other firm. • Mental health zero, learnings zero concluding to a career which is zero with a few bucks in your account. • Salary deduction disguised as complaince and tax are something to beware of. • No office parties or fun activities. • Improve your HR policies too.

I beleive you are the same individual who has written a feedback earlier as well. I very much empathize with your situation and cannot imagine how difficult it must be for you at work at the moment. Having said that if you are still working with us (which it seems to be) may i request that we have a one-to-one session where i can try and address some of your concerns. Some of the advice you have mentioned for the management team which includes me will be considered with all sincerity but stating that we are doing something illegal with taxes is factually misleading and illegal. May i request you remove such incorrect statements. Furthermore for anyone who has worked with me knows that i treat my colleagues with utmost respect so i am not sure why you feel otherwise. Once again i would request you to give me an opportunity to understand your concerns so i can atleast try and resolve some of them to allow you to want to continue to work with us. A disclaimer that i am the CTO of the organization and yes i do quote that we are not a training institute. I stand by that statement. When i hire freshers or juniors i expect them to want to learn and work hard for it. We provide every support for our resources to do that including time, learning tools and standard industry wages. What i do not appreciate however is that we are used as a launching platform where people come to work for us for 6-8 months, learn and then hold us at ransom for salary negotiations with threat of other jobs. Also i am not sure how you are not aware but the company has purchased dozens of courses on Udemy which many of your colleagues have used to train themselves. May i suggest a session with HR to get yourself enrolled on those. Last but not the least with the state of mind you are in i am not sure how you are managing to be happy at work or in your personal life. If you would like you can take some paid time off (above the standard leaves you get yearly) and i am happy to work with HR on that that, rethink your current situation and come back to me with maybe suggestions or inputs that you think will help you be happier and want to grow with us. It is imperative for any organization especially a startup that its people are happy at work and i firmly beleive in that. I hope you give us the opportunity to work with you on the feedback you have shared to try and change your opinion about our organization.

I am not sure if this review is for the right company. We have never hired outside of India and definitely never an Electrical technician (considering we are a software firm).

Thanks for your feedback. Let me try and address the issues you have raised. As far as I know and I just further checked with HR, most of the CXOs are available in the office almost every day so it is indeed odd that you observe it otherwise. Project managers are not technology people and whilst some may carry some level of software development proficiency it's certainly not a required skill set to be a good project manager. Here is a link from PMI that you can read to further educate yourself on what skillsets a PM should have and may have - https://www.pmi.org/learning/library/technical-training-project-manager-need-3290 If a person is too lazy and yet manages to get the job done then I am perfectly fine with it. How one works and what time they need to spend at work is driven by the projects they are involved in as well as their work ethics. We as an organization don't want people to sit at their workstations for 8 hours even if they don't have work. Take it easy if you don't have work at the moment or the project you are working on is moving slowly, as there will be a time when things will get hectic especially closer to delivery/deployment dates when we would expect our colleagues to put in extra hours if needed to go the extra mile for the client. Hectic hours can be a function of many things ranging from bad project planning to the resource simply not being a good fit for the role and not being able to deliver. I am happy to discuss this with you one-on-one if you so wish to do so but please do not call out another person's reviews as incorrect especially if they stem from interpersonal issues. That just isn't professional. If you are having to work 16 hours a day as you state then there is definitely something wrong with the way the project has been planned or possibly a skillset issue as I mentioned. I would request that you work with HR either to upskill yourself if that is the need or highlight on the daily standups the challenges you are facing or reach out to the COO and give him honest feedback so your situation can improve. As always you can reach out to me and we can try and see where the gap lies and apply corrective actions as needed.
