      Demanding beyond reasonableness -- quick to let people go

      Seat of the pants (and non-quantitative) -- as in Ad Agencies of the 1950's Mad Ave era Minor fracas can derail careers - incl firing after Xmas party, dissolving groups when account lost

      Pros

      There is a lot of young talent there. People in the junior to mid levels are extremely eager to learn, do a good job and put in the hours. Linda and Robin are great at throwing parties. If you work on a successful account expect lots of ice cream and/or pasta salad.

      Cons

      Horrible work/life balance. It might be OK if you are on smaller clients, however if you are working on their biggest client, you have no social life. Upper management tends to spend majority of their time working on the "process" of the work flow without ever coming to an agreement on an optimal way to handle projects.

      Pros

      IF youre a parent and not career oriented or ambitious you can easily slide in and out of here. Innovation and demand for innovation from the Account Management area is low. So that means no pressure. You can come in at 9 and leave by 5 and pretty much spend all day watching youtube, reading blogs, playing videogames, reading a book, working on your own projects and not asingle soul craes or would mind, because they're ding the exact same thing. So if you want a job where at the end of the day you feel like you accomplished absolutely nothing and you know that tomorrow will be the exact same, then this is the place for you.

      Cons

      Not a very exciting place, petty, annoying hierachy and senior management.
