Pros

You get to work with nice jewelery and stones that may or may not be fake but are probably fake and that should help charge you with positive energy but it probably won’t. The commission structure isn’t to bad though and if your a true salesmen through and through and don’t care what your selling and believe you can move a lot of product no matter what it is then you have a higher earning potential. Also they start at $12 an hour plus your commissions.

Cons

Management is out of control. People are coming and going and multi store and single store managers bi monthly. You are pressured to use a 12 step guide to push people no matter how uncomfortable they get to push for a sale. And if you do sell they wonder why you stop selling. They preach if the customer buys one thing they trust you and it should be unstoppable that wouldn’t spend more on you. They have you follow people around tiny stores or kiosks and interfere with their personal space. You aren’t condoned for trying you’re only condoned for selling way over the $500 daily minimum commission, which gives you $10 extra commission. Another con is the entire hiring processing. First you email a resume, then if qualifying take a min 30 min each personality test and basic skills (math etc) test. If you pass that you can go to a one or group interview with the manager of a location. Then if they like you (you will be asked to act in a saleing scenario at the end of basic interview questions like experience and why you would want to work there.) then you go to an all day group interview that isn’t paid for the first half and then you sign a paper saying you get min. Wage for the last half. I doubt the people that don’t get or take the job ever see that money and the people that do it does not get included in your paycheck without asking. Then you are given a test you must get 80% or higher on at the end of the day. The test is about the product and sales strategies. You are also asked to preform another acting scenarios to prove you know the 12 steps but are basically ok hawking a product at a disinterested buyer. This test is done with the highest up person for the office the whole day is spent in a group interview Out of my group I was the only one that passed and the others, if still interested do a day of unpaid trying at a given location to learn the strategies. They asked me to start work the next day and start training. You aren’t officially hired until you pass 3 tests taken in front of employees from HQ delivered to you on your first day. You get to retry if you don’t get 100% one time per test after a study review sessions. I passed and wasI did two training sessions in the morning with a hire up who constantly said terrible things about customers that didn’t buy from her and told me how stressful the job was that they couldn’t let her manage her illness and it landed her in the hospital multiple times. She told me all 8 hours were meant to be standing talking no breaks no Lunch’s and never to leave the shop. My first real day she had me close the store and register by myself with no training on closing procedures. She said she’d help me by watching me on the camera (creepy) and wound up yelling at me for being on the phone when I was texting her with questions on my phone she yelled through slack which is the only way you are allowed to communicate and never suppose to check your phone or have it in your hands for your entire shift. So I called her to prove it was her help I needed bc I kept reaching out on slack and she was at a movie not answering. Reaching out to management and getting answers over slack was always difficult they do not get back to you in a timely fashion. You basically train yourself and have a lot of pressure put on you to sell sell sell and be available at all hours. The would schedule you to close the doors of the store at midnight sometimes and I was originally told to open at 7:30 and told by mgmt that I just had to deal with it when I said that I wouldn’t even get 8 or 7 hours of sleep. I felt like that was unfair and unhealthy and weird they fired the hire up for being ill and making hospital trips. I was also told by a former employee he was let go after a hospital visit as well a year prior. The new manager that came in was almost as New as me. They made me pay for my own parking for the first month I worked for them and tho I gave them receipts they promised I would be reimbursed for they never reimbursed me. They push you into full time and often have only two people working for the store from 7:30am until 12am. Their is a strict point system in place that has points against you for everything from dress code violations to taking days off. 3 points is grounds for termination. Though I didn’t see this in effect a lot it was emailed to employees and posted where it was visible at all times. They encourage lying about the stones it doesn’t matter what you say as long as you make the sale.

Pros

There are absolutely none because everything they make you do is absurd.

Cons

1. No work life balance. 2. Overworked ( you will see people who once looked healthy and happy look like they are dying after about a month) 3. They don’t give you breaks. You literally have to clock out to pee. 4. The point system for discipline is controlled by one person and that one person is not an appropriate person to give discipline as he has discipline problems of his own. He makes up rules that don’t make sense. 5. Pointless meetings in meetings. They will even make you come in for a pointless meeting on your only day off 6. Everything they sell is fake. Buy it on amazon it’s cheaper. 7. Run as fast as you can. They will sell the dream but you will end up being miserable.

Pros

A paycheck, not a good paycheck but a paycheck.

Cons

Lying & manipulating management, who teach a 12 step approach to scam & harass costumers into buying cheaply produced products. Turn around with this company is absolutely absurd, which management will tell you is okay because they want to find the “right people” (a.k.a.- people who do not realize Nevada Labor Laws). You work alone for 8-12 hours a day, in which you get a 15 minute break. That’s just one 15 minute break. They start at $12 per hour and give you barely any commission; $10 in commission for selling $500 of product. During the interview process they’re preach that their employees usually get up to $3,000 a month & managers make $4,000 a month, which is a lie. Also, realize that you will be paying to park at work everyday and will not actually be reimbursed for that, so you’re working over an hour for free because parking is typically $15. If you’re hired to work at one property be ready to be moved around to other properties last minute due to the high turn around. Before you start working you have to take a series of tests, role playing and this is all unpaid over multiple days. If you have another job, you cannot give any notice because they need you to start immediately with open availability. You will not be trained, you will have a walky talky on you to ask questions but won’t get a response in a timely manner. When waiting for a response you’re not allowed to use an actual phone to call management or you’ll receive a point. You can also receive points for not looking nice enough for them or for not being able to work. Being in a hospital or family emergencies mean nothing to them because you gets points for that two. Their point system is based on baseball because it’s 3 strikes & you’re out.
