Pros

Fairly good pay and it’s a nice building to work in

Cons

Management are terrible, particularly Fran. He is a bully and doesn’t know how to manage a bar, doesn’t understand anything about bars. But generally is a not nice person. They dismiss girls when they complain about men that they work with (eg one followed someone home, made lots of weird sexual comments) and they promoted him. There are many many many different examples of this. They don’t hire girls on the bar, even when people have complained about this. It’s all white men on the bar and a lot of them are uncomfortable to be around (see above) yet they don’t do anything about it when complained about several times. No growth opportunities.

Pros

Good money but you gonna work like 70-80 hours a week

Cons

Not sure where to start.. in the beginning you would think this is a nice place to work but once you open your eyes probably will cry, the company is about ' we care about your mental health' well they actually put you in mental problems I couldn't sleep for months and the stress they put on you omg I can't tell you!! they kept putting me on an early shift even when I told them I just simply cannot do that everyday i started 5.30am I supposed to be finish at 16.30 and get around 15rooms (with the early rooms) but they give you 25-30 rooms a day you won't finish in time at all everyone finishing at late and they expect a proper clean what was equal to a deep clean and I didn't even mentioned that there is always money that missing from your payslips ahh I just can't say how bad it was the total environment but it was all started from the managers they gossiping around the staff and then tell one like oh this ppl said that about that people and then it's all going around because they don't want staff to be friends at all the environment there is literally the worst everyone hating each other because the managers totally ripping everyone apart sooo childish and disrespectful!! on the interview they will be like oh we are a big family you'll clean 12 rooms a day sometimes 1 or 2 more if we busy but don't worry the rooms are very easy well don't listen to them on the first day got 20 rooms the whole system is a rubbish, I have been told lots of times that because I had a team leader position I can't be friends with the staff can't even talk to them and I was like what??? Also the the morning meetings the managers just tell everyone off and be like you all have to be faster because you all slow get use to the coffee smell I didn't stayed there for long it was a couples of months and I would never in my lifetime go back there and I don't recommend it at all you can work in any other hotel there's plenty in the city I just cannot find my words to be honest it is still a trauma what I went through over there... if you ever start working there in HK department and they be disrespectful to you just leave don't even think about it money is not everything you can find better place to work at
